Mind: cockpit controls and instruments are delicate equipment intended for careful private use. Damage or functional failures as a result of negligent or careless handling of these equipment, or as a result of commercial application will not qualify for any warranty.

Product description
The Altimeter is available in 4 different versions:

The Altimeter is a very precise replica of an original General Aviation Altimeter and has a double pressure scale for Inches (as used in the USA and UK) and Millibar (as used a.o. in other countries in Europe) . When you purchase the product as a kit, all parts are included (depending on the type of kit, the servos needs to be purchased separately or are included).

The Altimeter has 3 indicators: a 100-feet pointer, a 1000-feet pointer and a 10,000-feet indicator disc. The Altimeter pointers are driven by a special, modified servomotor which is able to run continuously. The instrument includes an electronics board with position sensors, which delivers direct feedback about the position of each pointer to the central control unit.

Additionally, you can regulate the air pressure scale (which has its own servo motor) by means of a dial on the lower left hand side of the instrument. The instrument is connected to the Central Control unit through the flat cable included with the product and is equipped with lighting regulated by the Central Control Unit.

It is constructed from high quality ABS and all parts are plastic injection molded for precise fit. The scale is high resolution print.

The instrument has being re-designed from earlier versions and is now equipped with a high quality optical, which is more scratch resistant. The housing of the instrument has also been redesigned and is closed together via a new construction of 2 bolts and nuts which allows the opening of the instrument - for example to change the faceplate – any time after construction.

The “built and tested” version is ready to be used in your cockpit. It has been tested during a full hour after it has been constructed and carries the Simkits warranty.

The kit and built and tested versions are for private use.

The “Professional Version” is in principle the same product as the “built and tested” one, but equipped with a high-resolution, high-torque HS-645 servo. This product includes a license for commercial applications and can therefore be used in commercially built simulators.

Difficulty level of the kit
The kit can be constructed without technical expertise. However, care and accuracy are of utmost importance. No special tools are needed. You can build this gauge using standard workbench tools.

Also needed for correct operation are one of the following Control Units:

1. Central Control Unit II ( CCU 2 )
2. Standby Instruments Controller ( SIC )
3. Central Control Unit I ( CCU 1 )
