In 1982, a group of Argentine pilots and crews fought a war against one of the major NATO powers. They gave everything, fighting in a war for which they were never trained, in one of the most difficult environments in the world. They flew mainly with old planes, old weapons and without any war experience. They lost the war, but their courage was never in doubt.
For the first time, almost 30 years later, the complete story of all Argentine air units that took part in the Falklands War is told.

Much has been written about the war in the South Atlantic from the British perspective but little has been heard of the story from the Argentine viewpoint and in Wings of the Malvinas the protagonists give their accounts, in many cases for the first time. Air Force, Army, Naval and civil units are covered in detail together with a full description of all aircraft types used by both sides.

Wings of the Malvinas includes in depth accounts of all the missions flown, from the first landings to the near suicide missions over St Carlos water. With over 450 photographs, many previously unpublished, plus colour profiles, maps and comprehensive appendices detailing Argentine army ground units, Naval forces and all ships involved in the 74 day conflict, this is the first work to chronical the full story of the Argentian air war over the Falklands.

Over 450 + 25 colour profiles
