De Havilland DH100 Vampire FB31 (Classic Airframe)

Designed specifically for the 1/48 scale Classic Airframes F.B. Mk 5 Vampire kit, this conversion allows the modeller to built a totally accurate model of the RAAF's F.B. 31 Vampire.

This is the only conversion in the world for the F.B. 31 that is 100% accurate ! Great time and effort was invested in measuring and photographing an actual F.B. 31 Vampire. The 'elephant ear' engine air intakes are faithfully reproduced, based on measurements from the real aircraft and accurate lofting drawings. The conversion provides perfect scale measurements, derived from real measurements of the actual aircraft, to enable the modeller to correctly place all components on the kit. Included in the conversion are the MB Mk2 Ejector Seat, the 'elephant ear' intakes, the rocket rail pylons, the rocket rail double electrical socket, the tow hook, the radio compass fairing, suitable wire of correct scale diameter for the rocket rails, IFF antenna and VHF antenna, and ultra fine brass mesh for the 'elephant ear' engine air intake grilles. A fully comprehensive six page instruction sheet rounds out the conversion.
