It took Marcel Bloch a long time to decide to propose a fighter jet. His first attempt was a complete failure; the plane couldn't even take off. However, the ideas he brought to this project led the French government to support him, and after numerous improvements, the industry made him one of the three main defenders of French airspace. Alongside this, Marcel Bloch continued to open new avenues and propose new aircraft, with prototypes following one after the other. This third volume presents the heyday of Marcel Bloch's aircraft as well as their fall, leading to his imprisonment and deportation during the war. But with 1,887 Bloch aircraft built partially or completely between 1929 and 1946, including 53 prototypes or experimental aircraft, he remains one of the great aviation industrialists of the 1930s. And he would bounce back again to restart with a small team of loyal supporters to give birth to a global giant of post-war aviation: Dassault Aviation. This third volume covers his first fighter planes, which crisscrossed French skies throughout the war, as well as his last prototypes and projects before this great transition to a new adventure.
This third volume totals 624 pages, more than 1000 photos, 28 color profiles and 70 drawings and plans.
