Purchases in Luchtvaart Hobby Shop (Aalsmeerderbrug, The Netherlands)

Exchanges:

• Exchanges are accepted with receipt of purchase and within 7 days of purchase or after consultation at later date in Luchtvaart Hobby Shop.

Warranty and Claims:

• Items that are purchased in Luchtvaart Hobby Shop are free of defects, unless otherwise expressed or implied.
• Complaints must be reported to Luchtvaart Hobby Shop.immediately and within 48 hours after purchase.
• Customers should check items and contents of packages before leaving the building or the Luchtvaart Hobby Shop parkinglot.
• Complaints filed after departure will not be eligible for reimbursement of any travel- or shippingcost as a result of these complaints.
• Legal warranty is 2 years after purchase.
• Invoking waranty after 2 years be processed only in accordance with the warranty and conditions as applied by the manufacturer.
• Warranty after two years always expires when no longer can be relied on the producer affected by bankruptcy or cessation of production.
• Eligible warranty claims at Luchtvaart Hobby Shop or its suppliers imply free of charge repair or replacement. The warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective part or product, and exclude any reimbursement of shipping and import emphatically.
• The warranty is void if in the opinion of Luchtvaart Hobby Shop the defect or the damage is due to an accident, improper use, or the result of service or modification by anyone other than Luchtvaart Hobby Shop approved organisation.
• Luchtvaart Hobby Shop is not responsible for consequential damages.

 

Purchases via Aviation Megastore website

Non fullfillment of order or ordered quantities

  • The Aviation Megastore website is a real time reflection of the shop’s inventory. Any change in data or stock is reflected on the website instantaniously. Though every effort is made to have stocks updated correctly at all times, errors in price, stockquantities or product details may still be encountered.
  • In particular stocknumbers shown on the website may differ from actual stock present in the shop. This may be due to a variety of  causes often beyond our control.
  • Orders placed through the website will be adjusted in case of apparent non-availability of ordered products. Money paid for unavailable products will be refunded.
  • Aviation Megastore does not accept any claims that may originate from incorrect data on  the Aviation Megastore website, other than refund of returned products.

UPS delivery

Aviation Megastore has contracted UPS delivery services for all non-downloadable products. The use of UPS delivery services is firmly recommended due to its high reliablitlity and track and traceability. The use of any other means of delivery is strongly discouraged. Aviation Megastore allows alternative means of delivery at the explicit risk of the customer, who accepts all responsibilities to loss or non-delivery of orders concerned.

All deliveries by UPS require a receipt signed by the recipient. This means that delivery to P.O.Boxes are exempted from delivery by UPS (*) and are unacceptable as shipping address. If customer insists on delivery to a P.O.Box, he accepts that shipping is done by Priority Mail without any tracking service and without any guarantee of delivery. Aviation Megastore does not accept any responsibility with regard to lost parcels if customer insists on delivery to a P.O.Box!

(*) = for some Middle East countries UPS delivery to P.O.Boxes is accepted.

Returned mail order parcels

It is the responsibility of the customer to arrange acceptance of the parcels ordered.

In case a mail order parcel could not be delivered and is returned to the warehouse the following applies:

  • If non-deliverance is due to Aviation Megastore’s error, the parcel will be shipped again at no charge
  • If non-deliverance is due to customer’s non acceptance or error in the shipping address provided, customer will be charged for the extra costs implied. The parcel will be shipped again at actual cost, increased by returned parcel handling fees as charged by UPS or the postal services: € 15,- for destinations inside European Union or € 40,- for destinations outside the European Union.

Disclaimer Collector's Models

Collector’s models differ from modelling kits in that they contain finished fuselage, airfoiles, undercarriages or armament. Depending on brand these collector’s models are offered as ‘push-to-fit’ or already assembled by the manufacturer. In the latter case parts may disassemble during tranportation. This can easily be corrected by re-inserting the proper part in its place and is not considered reason for complaint or compensation. Any refund will be restricted to the price of the model if returned within 7 days from delivery.

The majority of display models are hand made. While quality is guaranteed, it must be taken in account that minor imperfections will always be part of their nature. Display models can be subjected to extensive examination in the Luchtvaart Hobby Shop. Customers, who order these models via mail order, accept the presence of minor imperfections (*) and will not be eligible for refund.

Names, phone numbers, e-mail addresses of our customers are recorded in Aviation Megastore files for administrative and advertising purposes and are for exclusive use by Aviation Megastore only. They will never be distributed or forwarded to any other parties.
