The MiG-21 appeared on the Finnish skies in 1963, when the Finnish Air Force received 21 MiG-21F-13 fighters from the Soviet Union's top-flight aircraft. Between 1978 and 1986, Finland replaced them with 26 newer MiG-21BIS aircraft Including Replacement Machines and Two-Seat Versions Finland had 54 MiG-21 aircraft. Finland's last MiG-21 flight was completed on March 7, 1998
With the MiG 21's exit from Finnish service, the Mach 2+ era was completed within the Finnish Air Force. This book tells about the MiG-21 in Finland from the 1960s to these days.
