Two of the most important airplanes used by the Italian Air Force, from the mid-fifties to the early seventies, are the subject of this monograph. The F-84F and RF-84F are the assets that introduced the use of atomic weapons in Italy and allowed the formation and development of aerial reconnaissance. Both Republic fighters served in the "golden age" of the Air Force, when the numbers of aircraft available were such as to require the establishment of large unita, the Aerobrigate, to manage large quantities of airplanes and personnel. In addition, the Thundestreak was used by two of the most famous Aerobatic Patrols formed by Air Force different units' before the establishment of the Frecce Tricolori, the Diavoli Rossi and the Getti Tonantis, as narrated in two dedicated chapters. A fascinating story that will not fail to thrill the reader.
