Technical publication dedicated to the birth of the project and the development of the prototypes of the FIAT G 91 fighter.

This publication fills an important gap in the historiography of Italian aeronautics.

For the first time, the birth of the G 91 project, symbol of the rebirth of FIAT and the national aeronautical industry, in the post-war period was addressed in a rational and systematic manner.

Drawing on the author's rich archive heritage and that of the Leonardo Air Force Museum's Historical Documentation Centre, as well as the historical memory of the key figures involved in the project, this publication finally sheds light on the events that led FIAT's beautiful aircraft to win the NATO NBMR-1 competition.

The book, which is part of the Blueprint File series by Gli Archivi Ritrovati, is produced in paperback, horizontal A4 format, and is composed of 210 pages, which include 149 photographs (mostly unpublished), 43 technical drawings and 27 original documents..
