This book (written in Norwegian) describes the colors and markings of Norwegian aircraft that operated under the Royal Air Force during the Second World War or were otherwise subject to British directives for camouflage and markings. The book contains over 140 profiles and plan drawings that together with over 140 photographs show how the aircraft were painted and marked. This book is a superb reference for painting museum aircraft, warbirds, and model aircraft.
The book contains information on, among other things:
– Nationality markings
– Registration codes
– Squadron and unit markings
– Camouflage colors and other color schemes
– Other identification markings
First part of four covering the colours and markings of the Norwegian military aircraft from 1941 to present.
Author Nils Mathisrud has studied the Norwegian military colours and markings for many years and is well known for his decals
This first part cover the period from 1941 to 1945 when the british directives were followed.
The many pictures and profiles will make this book interesting for modellers and historian not fluently in Norwegian.
An interesting piece of Norwegian aviation history in fine book form and is highly recommended.
