Luftwaffe over Britain

Almost as soon as war was declared, the Luftwaffe began to mount air operations against the British Isles with the first attacks in any force taking place as early as October 1939. From then on, almost right around to the end of the war in Europe, German air activity against the country continued almost unabated. There were, however, peaks and troughs in the scale and tempo of operations - from the Battle of Britain and the Blitz through to what became known as 'The Baby Blitz' in 1944.
 
In this Special publication, we take the reader through the range of Luftwaffe operations against Britain. Using official and other contemporary records, this work also draws heavily on the men who were there through the words of Luftwaffe veterans themselves. The fast-moving text is accompanied by an impressive range of photographs, many of which have not previously been widely published, along with artwork, tables and maps
