The adventurous life of Antonino Malavasi, a fighter pilot NCO of the Regia Aeronautica who, during the war, served in the 160th CT Group.
The book traces Malavasi's activity, from training to transfer to Albania for the war against Greece. The stories of the fighting against the Greeks and the British, then the attack and invasion of Yugoslavia. North Africa, the war in the desert, the long escort flights to the vital naval convoys that brought from Italy the essential supplies necessary for the war; long, sometimes boring flights. During one of those missions Antoninus managed to save an Italian ship from torpedoes launched by the British.
Then the return to Italy, the launch and landing tests carried out for the "Operation Rome" project, the vain Italian hope of building the Aquila and Sparviero aircraft carriers.
After the war Antonino Malavasi continued his career in the Air Force until his retirement in the sixties.
