Your reliable Aviation Book Source since 1989
The Encyclopedia of the World's Aviation Cigarette and Trade Cards has been compiled for aviation enthusiasts, especially those interested in airplane graphics and aviation albums, as well as aviation artwork in a more general sense, as many images come from the palette of aviation painters.
It is also intended for collectors of so-called non-sports cards in general, because aviation items belong to that (American) category.
The encyclopedia contains a full-color selection of 1014 picture series with information and hundreds of partly unidentified individual items. It shows the enormous diversity of the world of aviation pictures and albums as it took shape in more than 44 countries in the 20th century. The book has more than 8,000 images.
The result is a threefold historical overview of the developments in aviation, in printing and graphic techniques and in the maturation of the aviation painter's craft. The book in English.
Please note, this is a very heavy book!
