With the acquisition of the Grumman S-2F Tracker, the Italian Air Force finally had a vehicle specifically designed and built to counter the underwater threat. In just over twenty years (1956-1978), the Trackers of the three groups that were equipped with them – 86°, 87° and 88° – participated in numerous national and NATO exercises, earning the esteem and respect of all the other Armed Forces with which they collaborated. They also carried out countless SAR (Search And Rescue) missions, contributing to the saving of a large number of human lives. This volume, in addition to tracing the operational use of the Tracker, wants to pay homage to all the men who flew it.
The volume is 132 pages long and inside you will find over 330 images, 6 profiles and a 20-page walk around with a section dedicated to heraldry.
In the appendix some modeling information: assembly boxes, colors and a series of models made in collaboration with IPMS Italia.
