Thanks to the excellent research work of Pierpaolo Maglio we have created this 154-page book, which contains 180 photos, 17 exclusive color profiles specially created by Richard J. Caruana, an extensive description of the F-84F, an unpublished and definitive analysis of the colors of the Getti Tonanti in the two years of activity, detailed photos of the aircraft and two pages of infographics on the acrobatic program of the patrol.
The book also contains:
- the history of all the patrols of the 5th Wing and the 5th Air Brigade, comparisons with all the foreign patrols of the time starting from 1946.
- all the demonstrations of 1959 and 1960,
- all individual training flights of 1960.
- curious aspects, jokes and little incidents never described before.
In the book you will find answers to some questions and issues that have never been answered before, in any other publication or in any blog.
- How many planes did they have? 10-5-7-6?
- What differences were there between the planes other than the colors?
- What was the evolution of coloring?
- What was the relationship between the Getti and the Rome Olympics?
- Why so many inventions about the Olympics?
- Why do only 5 of them appear in all the color photos?
- When were the color photos taken?
- Why is red always in the lead in color photos?
- The bomb was carried out by only 5 planes, who did not participate?
- Were the fumes colored?
- How were the pilots chosen?
