Behalve Anthony Fokker en Frits Koolhoven was er nog een aantal vliegtuigbouwers in ons land actief. Denk aan Joop Carley en Theo Slot, maar er waren er meer.
Bovendien heeft de Nederlandse vliegtuigindustrie, naast eigen creaties, ook altijd buitenlandse vliegtuigontwerpen gebouwd, van Blériot- en Farman-achtigen tot de Starfighter en de F-16.
Daarnaast heeft de amateur-vliegtuigbouw in ons land de laatste 30 jaar een enorme groei doorgemaakt. Die amateurs bouwden zowel door hen zelf ontworpen vliegtuigen als vliegtuigen van buitenlandse oorsprong.
Dit boek beschrijft en illustreert alle vliegtuigen die ooit in Nederland zijn gebouwd.
