The volume, containing 128 pages with 300 gr/sq.m paperback cover, it has been written with the cooperation of the Italian Navy on the occasion of 100 years of Naval Aviation in Italy.
The book, with a foreword by Rear Admiral Paolo Treu, commander of the Navy Air Arm, includes:
28 chapters that illustrate the story of our "sailors with wings", from pioneer Mario Calderara up to the Navy's future programs such as the introduction of the UAS and the new F-35 "Lightning II". Each base and each department has a dedicated focus chapter.
PLEASE NOTE: Although the title suggest an overview of 100 years Italian navy 80% of the pictures are beautiful shots of the modern Italian Navy aircraft and helicopters in Action!!!
Useful tables illustrate the technical details of Navy's aircrafts and helicopters, and the ships equipped with a flight deck.
