The 102nd Group was formed in Lonate Pozzolo (VA) on May 1, 1942, equipped with the Stuka dive bombers, supplied by Germany. The Group was able to stand out throughout the Second World War, first with the Ju87 then with the Re.2002. At the armistice, the war continued in the south, with the Air Force, alongside the Allies. Today the 102nd Group is based in Ghedi (BS), assigned to 6th Stormo, is the Italian Air Force OCU for the Tornado line.
