Product description
Our new MiG-21 sheet is designed for the Eduard MiG-21MF kit. It covers a number of 'third generation' MiG-21 variants, including the MiG-21R, S, M, MF, MF75, and MF-R.
A number of the 21s featured on the sheet have very interesting back-stories. The East German MiG-21M featured (532) was one of a dozen NVA M variants secretly air-freighted to Syria in October 1973 as 'military assistance' during the Yom Kippur War. USSR 'Red 01' was the commander's aircraft of the 159th 'Novorossiiskiy' GvIAP, based at Kluczewo, Poland, which took part in 'Operation Danube' (occupation of Czechoslovakia) in August 1968.
