In the mid nineteen fifties the U.S. Air Force needed a new modern transport to replace the aging twin and four piston engine transports from the WWII. The winner and ultimately the most successful transport aircraft in history was C-130. For over 50 years the C-130 has served as the most versatile U.S. Air Force transport in history. For the first time Minicraft Models offers a kit of the C-130A. This kit includes the unique 'roman' nose, 3 bladed propellers and includes optional markings for the first unit assigned the new C-130 in 1957 that bright metal finish with vivid national and unit markings of the early years.
