Martinair MD-11 Aviation Legend

We managed to get some of these much sought books. They are still in they printers boxes and in mint condition. Get them while you can!

Mind: Originally the books camewith additional sticker and poster. These are no longer available though and so are not included!

English: In the Summer of 2016 Martinair will say farewell to it's characteristic three-enigined aircraft the MD-11. Martinairs MD-11 and her three-engined predecessor the DC-10 have transported many passengers and a wide variety of cargo all over the world. This book focusses on these tri-jets. But their Douglas predecessors from DC-1 to DC-9 will be presented as well.

The book is made with the cooperation of many (former) Martinair employee, but also people outside Martinair who wanted to share their most beautiful, touching and special memories, stories and pictures. With contributions from many different departments, this book is about the people of Martinair and the 'Red Spirit' that binds them. This book gives an unique insight in the world of DC- and MD-aircraft with Martinair.

The book will be in Dutch with text summary in English and photocaptions in English.

Martinair is de laatste MD-11-operator in Nederland. In de zomer van 2016 komt er een eind aan de lange periode dat de driemotorige (McDonnell-)Douglas-jets in Nederland hun thuisbasis hebben. Martinair heeft met de DC-10 en de MD-11 passagiers en vracht vervoerd. Velen zullen mooie herinneringen hebben aan deze bijzondere vliegtuigen. Deze herinneringen en veel nooit eerder gepubliceerde foto's gaan we samenbrengen in het boek 'Martinair MD-11 Aviation Legend – Martinair's Tri-jets and Douglas history'.

Dit boek is het derde boek in de reeks die gestart is met de twee KLM MD-11 boeken. Het Martinair-boek wordt in dezelfde kwaliteit uitgebracht en heeft dezelfde lay-out en vormgeving als de vorige twee boeken. Met dit derde "rode" boek maakt de MD-11-fan zijn verzameling compleet!

De laatste vlucht van de Martinair MD-11 is in juni/juli 2016. Na deze vlucht zullen we het boek compleet maken.
