One of the less known artillery pieces that have been used in Dutch armed forces is the M752 Lance. These, of which 8 were used from 1979 to 1992, were assigned to 129 department field artillery and replaced the Honest John rocket. All M752 Lance rocket systems were located on the Johannes Postkazerne in Havelte. The Lance had a range of 70km to 120km and could carry both cluster and nuclear heads. The (atomic) ammunition for the M752 Lance was stored in Havelterberg.
