In the 1960s and 1970s, the United States built its concept of a helicopter air force on the fierce combat experience of the Vietnamese jungle. Based on the UH-1 deployment analysis, the US Army published a UTTAS (Utility Tactical Transport Aircraft System) project in 1972 to create a new universal helicopter for the army. Sikorsky has entered the S-70 project using S-61, S-65 and S-67. The military assigned him the name YUH-60. After almost two years of take-off, the YUH-60 was officially announced on 23 December 1976 as the winner of the competition, and before the end of the year, the manufacturer first ordered serial machines. They were named UH-60A with the name Black Hawk. The designation of the helicopter on the basis of Indian tribes has been a tradition for Sikorsky and other helicopter manufacturers. The name Black Hawk, belonged to the Chief of Sauks, who was famous for the unprecedented fighting courage. The publication details the development, production, service and export of this helicopter.
