France bought many combat aircraft from the USA with the prospect of war looming in Europe. Amongst these purchases were Curtiss H-75 fighters. The Curtiss H-75 was an export version of the P-36 Hawk fighter. Of all French fighters, the Hawks shot down most enemy aircraft during the Battle of France. The Hawks then served with collaborating Vichy Air Force and later they were used by Free French Air Force. This H-75 kit contains plastic sprues from SH32003 P-36 kit, with additional resin parts for the cockpit. The fuselage machine guns with their ammo boxes and bulkhead are also made from resin. The machine guns’ covers are made for A-1, 2 and 3 versions and could be displayed separately next to the finished kit. Furthermore, the ailerons are cast separately and can be glued in varied positions. The two photo-etched frets, painted and plain, contain tiny details. The decals are for three fighter aces´machines. They are for Alois Vasatko, the best Czechoslovakian ace of the Battle of France, the highest scoring ace on the Hawk, Marin La Meslée, and Georges Lemare
