Product description

Born in 1914. Fought the Winter War in the 7 th Fighter Regiment, Flew an
I-16, scored 2 personal airvictories. Fought the Great Patriotic War from June
1941 in the 158 th Fighter Regiment. He scored his first documented victory on
June 29, 1941, downing a He-111 (with his wingman). From November 1941 fought
in the 154 th Fighter Regiment (later 29 th Guards Fighter Regiment), from Juna 1943
to September 1944 - commander of the 159 th Fighter Regiment. Severaly wounded
in air crash on August 24, 1943, did not fly after it. Lieutenant-Colonel at the end of the
war. Flew an I-16, Yak-1, P-40 Kittyhawk, Yak-7, La-5, completed 292 missions,
scored 29 air victories (22+7). Twice Hero of the Soviet Union (10.02.1943,
24.08.1943).

P-40E Kittyhawk (tactical number 50),154 th Fighter Regiment, Petr Pokryshev's personal
aircraft, summer 1942, Leningrad Front. Number of red victory stars (9) marches the
personal victory tally of the pilotas of July 1, 1942. Yellow victory stars designate group
victories. The aircraft was originally built for RAF and carries standard British early war
camouflage in dark green and brown, lower surfaces are sky blue, early war stars in
4 positions.
