The 75th anniversary of the 31st Squadron of the Belgian Air Force, better known as the “31 Tigers”, coincided with the 65th anniversary of the NATO Tiger Meet held in 2026 at Araxos Air Base in Greece.
For the occasion, the 31st Squadron, based at Kleine-Brogel, specially painted the F-16 Fighting Falcon FA-101 in a scheme designed by Johan Wolfs. The artwork features a living tiger emerging through the 31 Squadron crest on the left side of the tail, while the right side displays the silhouettes of all aircraft types operated throughout the squadron’s history.
