Your reliable Aircraft Modelling Source since 1989
he RWD-13 was a Polish tourist aircraft from the pre-war period. It was of mixed construction. The prototype flew in 1935. It was powered by a PZInż Walter Major engine with a power of 130 HP. Over 85 aircraft were built in 1936-1939, and several were built under license in Yugoslavia. The aircraft proved its worth in its class, and it participated in many foreign competitions. In addition to Poland, it was exported to Spain, Brazil, and the Middle East. After the fall of Poland in September 1939, most of the aircraft flew to Romania, two to Estonia, and two to Sweden. After the war, some were returned. In Romania, they were used as ambulances during the war, some as couriers. Several aircraft flew after World War II. Two aircraft have been preserved and are in museums in Krakow and Brazil. They were produced in two versions: RWD-13S ambulance with a stretcher and RWD-13ST tourist and ambulance
