Product description

The DH 82 Tiger Moth bi-plane, designed by Geoffrey De Havilland, took to the skies in 1931 and was operated by the Royal Air Force, amongst others, primarily as a training aircraft. It lasted into the early 1950s in this role. Built by the de Havilland Aircraft Company between 1931 and 1944, they produced nearly 9000 of the Tiger Moth and many survive today, flown by flying clubs and private owners around the world. Oxford have chosen a camouflage version with yellow underside, as flown by the RAF between 1942 and 1946, designated as a trainer - T6296. Detail extends to the RAF roundels and tail flashes, a decorated interior cockpit, detailed painted propeller tips and spinner. In real life, the aircraft is now in preservation at the RAF Museum, Hendon.
