Crafted from the original fuselage skin of N192FE, this aircraft is a true icon of the early jet age. Delivered in 1966, it first flew passengers for United Airlines before being converted into a freighter and beginning a new life with FedEx Express. For decades, this tri-jet became a backbone of FedEx’s night-time cargo network, running routes through Memphis, Indianapolis, Newark, and hubs across North America.

Through storms, peak seasons, and thousands of overnight flights, N192FE served for nearly 40 years before retiring in 2004 — one of the longest-serving 727s in the FedEx fleet. Now, its story continues.
