This book (written in Norwegian)describes the colors and markings of the Air Force's aircraft that were delivered in the period after the Second World War until the American arms aid began in 1949. These aircraft operated until 1959. The book contains over 150 profile and plan drawings which together with over 220 photos and illustrations show how the planes were painted and marked. The book is thus a suitable reference work for painting museum aircraft, warbirds and model aircraft for this period in the history of the Norwegian Air Force.
The book contains information on, among other things:
- Nationality characteristics
– Registration codes
– Camouflage colors and other color schemes
– Squadron and department markings
– Other identification markings
Third part of four covering the colours and markings of the Norwegian military aircraft from 1941 to present.
Author Nils Mathisrud has studied the Norwegian military colours and markings for many years and is well known for his decals
The many pictures and profiles will make this book interesting for modellers and historian not fluently in Norwegian.
An interesting piece of Norwegian aviation history in fine book form and is highly recommended.
