The Borgward B3000 is a family of standardized 3-ton medium-duty trucks produced by the German manufacturer Carl F.W. Borgward GmbH as a standard medium-duty truck in the Wehrmacht supply system. Widely used since the Balkan Campaign of 1941, the B3000 was involved in logistics in various theaters of war, including North Africa and the Eastern Front. It was also used by Luftwaffe units to supply airfields and for towing equipment, highlighting its versatility in inter-service transport roles.
By 1944, approximately 30,000 units had been built, underscoring the scale of the program which expanded German logistics during the war.
The Borgward B3000 Maultier is a rare half-track variant of the German Borgward B3000 truck, modeled after the Ford and Opel Maultier vehicles. These conversions were designed to improve cross-country ability on muddy and snowy roads.
