Product description
Soviet Tupolev Design Bureau (now Russia United Airlines Group) produced the Tu22 bomber The first supersonic bomber.
Tu-22 design task was to do formation bombing deep inside enemy strategic objectives in 1962 it officially joined of the Soviet air force The total production was more than 300 aircraft, and exports to Libya and Iraq. The plane Tu-22 bombersalso served the Ukrainian air force.
Tu-22 had two RD-7 turbojet engines with a maximum thrust 22000 kn, and could reach the flight speed of Mach 1.5, the machine could carry 9 tons of various types of ammunition or a Kh-22 cruise missile.
