Boeing E-3G AEW&C Sentry / AWACS - Academy 12629

The Boeing E-3G AEW&C Sentry / AWACS is one of many military adaptations of the legendary Boeing 707 jetliner. Introduced in 1977, the E-3 has been regularly upgraded throughout its service life. Its current complement of radars, sensors, and computers can simultaneously track hundreds of airborne targets and provide real-time combat situation command and control. The E-3 is scheduled to remain in front-line service until 2027, when the Boeing E-7 will replace it. This 1/144 scale kit from Academy provides three marking options of E-3s currently in use. The finished model is 32.5 cm long and 9 cm high.
