Herkules III glider Winch + Moped Simson KR50 +crew

The Herkules III (H3 for short) is a self-propelled winch for launching gliders. She was built from 1957 to 1961 with a number of 522 by Moravan Otrokovice, can drive herself and is about the size of a Wartburg. In the 1960s and 1970s it was part of the inventory of almost every glider airfield in the GDR and many other countries. In the 1980s, they were replaced by the more powerful successor, the Hercules IV.

Even in these days some are still in use as winch but numbers are dwindling.
