Eduard BF109K-4 kit with Tiger Head Conversion sel, decals for II. Gruppe/Jagdgeschwader 52 (II./JG52) and elaborate instructions
The historical mystery: The Messerschmitt Bf 109 K-14 was planned as the ultimate evolution of the K-series ("Kurfürst"). The aircraft was to be powered by a powerful DB 605L engine featuring a two-stage supercharger and equipped with a four-blade propeller to achieve extremely high speeds at high altitudes. Although some sources and veterans (such as Major Wilhelm Batz) claim that two units were delivered to and operated by JG 52 during the final weeks of the war (April 1945), to this day there is no concrete photographic or official documentary evidence that the K-14 was actually completed or flown.
Beautiful 1/72 model by Falco Bormann which is so nice we could not resist using it as illustration as long as Tiger Head Models does not supply illustrative material .
