| McDonnell Douglas MD11 KLM "Amy Johnson" PH-KCA with polished belly "HIGHLY DETAILED MODEL, PRODUCED WITH A NEW MOLD" | SQ Wings | 1 : 200 L2212 | € 103.26 |
When the first MD-11 for KLM named "Amy Johnson" PH-KCA landed at Schiphol Amsterdam on 10 December 1993, this aircraft was delivered from Long Beach with a polished belly.
This aircraft was the only MD-11 for KLM that was delivered in this way by McDonnell Douglas.
All subsequent MD-11s for KLM were not painted in Long Beach, but were delivered to KLM wearing the amber tech coating. The airline then had the aircraft painted in its own facilities and got a grey painted belly.
