Rafale EQ - Qatar Emiri Air Force

The Rafale is an omnirole fighter aircraft, produced in both single-seat and two-seat versions. There are different models for the French Air and Space Force (FASF) and the French Navy, although they have very strong similarities.
The Rafale C is the single-seat version for the FASF. With an external payload capacity of 9,500kg, it can perform a wide range of missions that previously required specialized aircraft: air superiority and air defense, ground attack, nuclear deterrence, aerial reconnaissance, etc. Thanks to its wide variety of weapons and advanced mission equipment, the Rafale C can carry out both ground strikes and air-to-air attacks during a single sortie. These capabilities have attracted several export customers. Already a user of Alpha Jets, Mirage F1s and Mirage 2000s, the Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF) has purchased 36 Rafales. The Qatari single-seat version is called Rafale EQ. These aircraft operate from the Tamim air base, as part of the "Al Adiyat" squadron.
