Panavia Tornado IDS

The Panavia Tornado multi-role combat aircraft is an example of successful cooperation between the European defense industry, mainly Germany, Italy and Great Britain. The machine they designed was to be capable of fast flight at an extremely low altitude - just a few dozen meters above the ground. This allowed it to avoid detection by radars and gave the enemy very little time to react.

Developed in the seventies, the Tornado aircraft has been built in almost a thousand units, used by the air forces of four countries in the world.

These aircraft, which entered the Luftwaffe's equipment in 1979, became one of the symbols of German aviation, participating in numerous NATO operations and other military missions. Built by the Panavia Aircraft GmbH consortium, the aircraft was used not only for air attacks, but also as ground support and to carry various weapons.

The Tornado gained a reputation as a reliable combat machine, which for years had its place in the hearts of aviation enthusiasts and collectors.
