Product description

A-4M is not a subject that is not covered. There are plenty around. Especially in quarter scale. But none of them is at the level of the current Phantoms for example. With Skyhawk being nothing short of a legend, there was a definite logic for someone – anyone – to approach this subject with contemporary intents and bold plans. Magic Factory did it and it seems they did it quite intriguing. First and foremost, note the picture of the two aircraft side by side. One with the opened lift and drag devices and the other. Noticed anything? The one closed is missing the spinal hump. Note also the tip of the vertical fin

Things continue with the nose. A lot of fuss was created the first time Magic Factory showed their plan about the nose opening options. "It will be too complicated", "It is useless", "No, it will be perfect" and such. Controversial opinions are nothing new, but especially when things are new and surprising. There are always people who will embrace the new with the will to experiment and enjoy and there will always be the…"traditionalists"…Let's call 'em that for the lack of a better word.

Lift and drag devices are a signature mark of most modern planes. Especially after the Skyhawk generation, those barn doors hanging from wherever were important part of the whole design. Innovations and ideas were somewhat always attached to those parts by the engineering geniuses making modern flying machines. If you can make it fly very fast, you gotta know how to slow it down. Also, slow flying is very important when you have to land on a deck moving in a middle of the ocean, with waves sometimes tens of feet in height and winds that….well, you know the story. Skyhawk was never used by USAF, but MARINES and US NAVY flew the hell out of it, therefore all of the above is self-explanatory

Electronics? Yes, Magic Factory thought of that too. If you lift the nose up, you have to show something. Surely, there will be a lot more stuff that can be added, but just compare this kit to Trumpeter/Hobbyboss and Hasegawa kits from the recent past. Not that they were bad kits. They were good. Actually they still are. But they cannot compare here. Especially in case the newly born Chinese model factory keep the measurements accurate to the real thing. Take a look behind the intake on the picture below. It is not only the nose. Magic Factory opened more. And all combined, will give one very sophisticated 21st century tooling of the Mighty Scooter.
