Mind: this item is a decal sheet that serves to decorate a scalemodel. The scalemodel is not included and needs to be ordered separately.
The paper is used for printing decals on a laser printer. A special layer serving as a carrier film is applied over the entire surface of the paper. Since individual laser printers differ technologically, we recommend testing the suitability of the paper for your printer, primarily to avoid the problem of the material caking in the printer's fixing unit.
Use a graphics program (Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, Gimp...) to create an image. Print the image, set the print quality according to your preferences, set the paper type to cardboard, the paper size to A4.
Always apply decals to a shiny and perfectly dry surface. Spray the model with glossy colors or spray the matte model with a glossy colorless varnish.
Cut out the decal with an approximately 1mm edge. Place the decal on the surface of warm 50-60°C water for a long time until it is completely wet. Be careful not to separate the decal from the underlying paper. Then transfer it to a smooth, non-absorbent pad and wait until the decal can be moved freely across the paper.
Pull the decal onto the model and press down with a damp cloth.
After drying, spray the decal with varnish, preferably glossy first and then according to your needs.
The use of SET and SOL type decal wires is possible according to your habits, the effectiveness of the wires must be tested.
Notice:
The printer mixes all shades of color from the four basic shades. Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. Except for black, all shades are transparent. So if you apply a decal printed on clear paper to a dark background, the color of the background will show through the decal. Decals intended for dark substrates must therefore be printed on paper with a white layer and the decal must be cut precisely, or the place under the decal must be sprayed with white paint over the template.
