F-84F Thunderstreak 'US Swept-wing Thunder'

  The F-84F Thunderstreak was developed by Republic from the straight-wing F-84G. The use of a swept wing and a more powerful engine raised the performance to the level of the F-86 Sabre. From the start, the F-84F was dogged by engine, handling and corrosion problems. But with the outbreak of the Berlin crisis and with the strengthening of NATO armaments, in addition to the USAF and US Guards, they entered the service of many NATO air forces, including Germany and France. The F-84F saw combat deployment during the Suez Crisis. But only the Turkish F-84Fs, which struck against the Iraqi IL-28s, which violated Turkish airspace, achieved kills.
   F-84Fs served both domestically and were deployed in Europe and the Pacific. Kit SH72395 offers three USAF F-84Fs. Two served overseas, in the UK and the third in the US. The F-84F kit is completely new, very detailed, offers both an open and a closed cabin canopy. Four frames of plastic parts also offer a large amount of suspended armament.
