This is a complete kit that has been designed and produced using CAD and 3D printing. The kit comprises of 57 parts, 56 are printed in 3D resin and the canopy is a clear cast polyurethane resin part.
The kit is supplied with a set of laser printed decals. The only difference between the Lo-Viz and Hi-Viz kit options are the decals. The decal are thin, work easily and have good opacity, and they DO NOT look all digitised and pixelated when applied. The decals only differ in the roundel type and there are four possible marking options included, 237 OCU, 12, 13 and 40 squadrons (RAF) additionally there is the opportunity to make up some individual serial numbers.
The kit will need preparation by the modeller and the supports that are generated will require removing. This is easily done and as long as care is taken then they have been designed to be easily removed. The model will require either a super glue or a epoxy glue for assembly however I find PVA can also be suitable in certain areas and for trialing the fit and assembly before committing to the permanent glues. An instruction page will follow soon where more will be detailed.
It must be noted and confirmed this is a PAPER PROJECT, so nobody has definitive information on the what would have been the final outcome. However Aerocraft has now developed what they believe to be a good looking purposeful looking aircraft, based on the proposal by Fairey.
In the pictures that are included please note the following. The fully assembled aircraft is 1/72 scale, some of the other pictures showing parts are noted what scale they are in, the smaller parts have a USB stick beside to show the scale, the picture showing some of the major kit parts is shown to show typically how the parts will be supplied on the supports.
There is also a picture to show the size and scale of the models compared to a 1/72 scale F-104 Starfighter.
