Mind: this item is a decal sheet that serves to decorate a scalemodel. The scalemodel is not included and needs to be ordered separately.
A sheet of decal paper of A4 size with a special layer for printing on inkjet printers allows you to make your own decals. You simply print the motif, paint it over and apply it like normal water decals.
Use a graphics program (Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, Gimp…) to create an image. Print the image on an inkjet printer, set the print quality to the highest possible, set the paper type to photo paper, set the paper size to A4. After printing, spray the entire motif with varnish. We recommend Motip or Dupli-Color glossy car spray paint.
Always apply decals to a shiny and perfectly dry surface. Spray the model with glossy colors or spray the matte model with a glossy colorless varnish.
Cut out the decal with an approximately 1mm edge. Place the decal on the surface of warm 50-60°C water for a long time until it is completely wet. Be careful not to separate the decal from the underlying paper. Then transfer it to a smooth, non-absorbent pad and wait until the decal can be moved freely across the paper.
Pull the decal onto the model and press down with a damp cloth.
After drying, spray the decal with varnish, preferably glossy first and then according to your needs. Use of SET and SOL
type decal wiresit is possible according to your habits, the effectiveness of the wires depends on the type of paint used for repainting and it is necessary to try it.
Note: The
inkjet printer mixes all shades of color from the four basic shades. Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. Except for black, all shades are transparent. So if you apply a decal printed on clear paper to a dark background, the color of the background will show through the decal. Decals intended for dark substrates must therefore be printed on paper with a white layer and the decal must be cut precisely, or the place under the decal must be sprayed with white paint over the template.
