Product description
Der FFA P-16 ist ein ab 1950 in der Schweiz entwickeltes und gebautes strahlgetriebenes Erdkampfflugzeug der Flug- und Fahrzeugwerke Altenrhein (FFA), das jedoch letztlich nicht bei der Schweizerischen Flugwaffe eingeführt wurde. Im Rahmen der gesamten P-16 Flugerprobung wurden mit 508 Flügen eine Flugzeit von 233 Stunden erreicht. Gebaut wurden gesamthaft 5 Prototypen. Während der Erprobung gingen zwei Prototypen aufgrund von technischen Defekten durch Abstürze verloren. Der zweite Unfall wurde dann als Ursache genommen, die Serienfertigung für die Schweizerische Flugwaffe zu stornieren.
