Product description

Category Aircraft Scale Modelling, Subcategory Aircraft Scale Modelling Detailsets, Scale 1 : 72, ISBN/Box LHP72001, Publisher/Brand Linden Hill Decals

As the VVS of Russia's legacy MiG-29s have undergone major overhaul in recent years, many aircraft (9-12, 9-13, SMT and UB variants) have been retrofitted with quite conspicuous tailfin stiffener plates (see photos below). These plates were fitted in the aftermath of a number of catastrophic MiG-29 accidents in Siberia, when one or both tailfins were found to have separated from the airframe while in flight. It is a detail which is missing from all MiG-29 kits currently on the market. This simple photo-etch modification set enables to modeler to upgrade any MiG-29 kit to the latest Russian VVS standard. In 1/72 scale LHP 72001 has been sized to both Trumpeter and Zvezda MiG-29 9-13 kits.
