The Horten XVIIIA was a flying wing, meaning it didn't have a traditional fuselage with a separate wing. The entire aircraft was a single wing, which offered certain aerodynamic advantages.
It was designed as a long-range strategic bomber capable of carrying a large payload over long distances. This corresponded to the German interest in developing modern aircraft for strategic bombing missions.
The design called for jet engines for propulsion. Jet engines were a relatively new technology during World War II, and their installation in the Horten XVIIIA would have given the aircraft greater speed and performance.
The flying wing inherently possessed some stealth characteristics, making it less vulnerable to radar detection compared to conventional aircraft of the time.
Over time, you can expand your collection with new models, including limited editions, special liveries, and models from ModelCollect.
