The EA-6B Prowler was contructed by Grumman and based on the A-6 Intruder. It was an electronic warfare aircraft and saw extensive service in the US Navy and with the US Marines until the latter withdrew it as recent as 2019. In this book, over 350 photos show it on land and at sea, both in action and in detail. from the wing-fold mechanism, typical for carrier based aircraft to the air intake and cockpit. 14 pages of cockpit details are included!
This book includes never before published action photos made on board of several US Navy aircraft carriers, as well as photos of details of active aircraft and of the EA-6B Prowler preserved in the Frontiers Of Flight Museum in Texas. An extensive maintenance chapter shows details otherwise hidden, such as the engines, engine bays, the large avionics bays at the forward fuselage and more. EA-6B Prowler This book not only shows the Prowler in action, but also some very interesting details of the deck of US Navy aircraft carriers, picturing things such as tractors, deck equipment, crew and the blast doors of the deck catapults. A complete book for both the aircraft enthusiasts and the scale modellers!
