The third part of the series dedicated to the well-known American Airacobra fighter brings closer the P-39K, P-39L, P-39M and P-39N variants. It describes the history of the deployment of the type from the spring of 1942 to the spring of the following year. This period was extremely important for the Airacobras in a number of ways. Serial production was increasing and the aircraft were taking part in the actions on the battlefields of the World War in increasing numbers, including the Eastern Front. It was in the east of Europe that probably the most positive chapter in the history of the Airacobra began to be written: deployment in the Soviet Air Force. Under the specific conditions of the Eastern Front, Soviet aviators were able to do what their American and British colleagues could never do: discover the advantages of the P-39 and use them to the full. In the publication, the reader will also learn about the deployment of Airacober belonging to the state of the US Army Air Force in the South and North Pacific, Iceland and North Africa.
The publication is in A4 format, full-color on high-quality coated paper, V2 binding, 52 pages, a number of photographs, color side views.
