This set provides everything required to equip the 1/24 Airfix Spitfire Mk.Ia with a Rolls-Royce Merlin Mk.III (Single-Stage Supercharger).
The engine has been designed as a structurally and mechanically accurate representation of the original Merlin Mk III, capturing the characteristic layout of the crankcase, cylinder banks, ancillary components, and external pipework. Every part is precisely engineered and produced with finely rendered surface and structural detail to reflect the construction and proportions of the full-scale engine.
As with all Fischkopp Model Company releases, particular emphasis has been placed on technical fidelity, clean geometry, and scale-correct detail, resulting in an engine set that significantly elevates the overall realism of the respective kits.
