Wright R-3350-57 Cyclon
This improved version of the R-3350 engine was the most widely used powerplant for the B-29.

Improvements: included redesigned carburetors, more efficient cooling, and a number of other modifications that greatly reduced the risk of overheating and fires. It was this engine that powered most B-29s, including those that carried nuclear weapons to Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Characteristic: It had a power output of around 2,200 horsepower, which was essential to power such a large and heavy aircraft.
Designed by Štefan Šerfözö. No plastic kit part can match the level of detail that modern 3D printing can offer. Our engine is based on careful 3D scanning and examination of actual Wright R-3350 Cyclone engines. This allowed us to capture even the smallest details such as ignition cables, cylinder details and fine ribbing that would be either invisible or simplified on injection molded plastic. Our engine thus adds an unparalleled level of realism to your model.
