The Focke-Wulf FW 200 Condor was originally developed as a civilian long-distance traffic aircraft and set a record on the Berlin-New York route in 1938. During the Second World War, the conversion to the maritime enlightener and bomber took place. Version C-5/C-8 had increased armament and modernized electronics, which made it an effective long-distance reconnaissance.
